The Educating Community lives for and with the young people seeking the signs of the presence of God in everyday life and trying to formulate an educational plan in dialogue with the area. It fulfills its mission by valuing everyone’s contribution and, in an attitude of co-responsibility and participation, favors the creation of the “family spirit.”
In different contexts the Educating Community is made up of the FMA community (Salesian Sisters), men and women educators, young people, parents and guardians and the other members of the Salesian Family. At various levels, they share a common mission through different and complementary roles.
The Educating Community is called to an attitude of constant growth, which leads each one, starting from their own role, not only to educate others, but above all to educate themselves.

The Educating Community Core Group (ECCG)

The Educating Community Core Group or the ECCG is the animating core group which is made up of persons who share faith in the God of Jesus Christ, who live communion and openly offer evangelization in the Salesian style, respectful towards every cultural and religious diversity. The core group is an active part of the local Church and commits itself to make the message it proclaims credible by the witness of their life.
The animating core group establishes a style of life centered on:
-
-
- The Word of God, transforming power and source of true and sincere human relationships
- The Eucharist, bond of unity and communion, source, of growth for the community, and on the sacrament of Reconciliation, which contributes constantly to weaving and re-weaving relationships broken by human fragility
- The eyes of faith that are capable of recognizing what the Holy Spirit is doing in the history of people, society and nations
- The dynamism of communion that is realized in solidarity with the poorest, with those excluded from social opportunities.
-
The animating core group allow themselves to be guided by the figure of Mary of Nazareth. In the Educating Community, each one is called to bring about the reciprocity between adults and young people. In its educational commitment, it can draw on the experience of Mary, an attentive mother who accompanied her son in accepting and fulfilling the will of the Father for the salvation of the world.

Outreach Services
Oratory
The Oratory is a legacy left by Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello to the Salesian Family. It is a place of gathering, formation, and prayer for the young. It is a welcoming, joyful place where the giftedness and uniqueness of every Oratorian is valued and appreciated. This is a venue for the BMH to be of service to the community and to their fellow youth through animation of various activities.

PUBLIC SCHOOL CATECHESIS
An opportunity offered to our BMH to render service to their fellow youth through teaching of catechesis in the public school. This outreach is a formative experience for them to impart the knowledge they received in their Christian Living Education subject to the public school students.

PARENT VOLUNTEER CATECHIST
An outreach service is organized for our parents as volunteer catechist in the public school.

MEDICAL-DENTAL MISSION
This is an annual activity organized by MHCS, in close collaboration with the ECCG, which serve the less privileged in the nearby communities. The volunteers in this activity are mostly members of the Educating Community especially from the parents and the past pupils.

BLOOD LETTING ACTIVITY
An annual activity which involves the whole Educating Community and in collaboration with the Red Cross. This initiative is an expression of our solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND RELIEF OPERATION
A concrete expression of solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need, particularly during the time of calamity. The whole Educating Community is mobilized to be of service to our needy brothers and sisters through relief operation.
