SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

In preference to young girls affected by different forms of poverty, our scholarship program is designed to help girls in grades 7-12 coming from the public school achieve a secondary private, Catholic and Salesian education.

Objectives

    • Provide a quality Catholic, Salesian, private education to young girls.
    • Provide financial assistance to deserving poor, young girls from Minglanilla and adjacent municipalities
    • Empower these young girls to be agents of change and transformation in their community and in the society

Student grantees they are expected to:

    • Be grateful to God for the Salesian System of Education
    • Live the Salesian Youth Spirituality with the other members of the family and fellow young people
    • Render service to the school’s outreach program thru parish and community involvement
    • Study with patience, zeal, dedication and enthusiasm the academics offered by the school

Requirements for application:

ü    3rd and / or final Quarter grades (photocopy)

ü    Good Moral Certificate

ü    PSA birth certificate (photocopy)

ü    Baptismal certificate (photocopy)

ü    Income Tax Return Certificate

ü    Certificate of Indigence from the barangay captain

ü    Sketch map of residency

ü    2pcs. 1×1 pictures (blue background)

ü    Passed entrance examination

ü    Passed individual and family interviews

ü    Passed home visitation (for now, virtual home visitation)

ü    Provide 3 reference reliable persons who can vouch the situation of the family

 

Qualifications of the Student Grantee:

ü Belongs to an indigent family

ü No standing scholarship with other institutions and agencies at the moment of admission in the school

ü Applicants must be a female and an incoming grade 7

ü Passes the entrance tests and interview

ü Passes home visitation

ü Passes recommendation from 3 reliable persons regarding family financial situation

ü Only one child per family is accepted as grantee. But a special case can be granted to siblings if reasons are deemed justifiable by the school administration

ü Conduct grade not below 85% and General Average not below 85

ü Applicants must be a resident of Minglanilla or its nearby towns (Talisay City, City of Naga and San Fernando).
